Profile: Did you know Ms. Maria is a twin?

Everyone knows who Ms. Maria is the campus aide at CATS. What most people don’t know about Ms. Maria, however, is that she has an identical twin sister.

Ms. Maria said, “We’re the oldest, but I’m older than her for 15 minutes and her name is Ana Maria.”

She continued saying, “She has her personality, I have my personality, she’s more quiet and more conservative, I’m more a people person and we’re two different people.”

Ms. Maria said they both like opposite things and they are different in their own ways.

While they don’t have much in common, they did have advantages growing up.

One advantage that Ms. Maria had being an identical twin was being in the same school as her sister. She shared the little tricks that she and her sister both played in school. “My sister didn’t like P.E., so I would always cover for her in that topic and I didn’t like math, so she would cover for me in math.”

She continued saying “Teachers didn’t find out until we were graduating from middle school and high school where they were like ‘Oh my god, you guys are twins!’” 

Overall Ms. Maria loves being born a twin. She said the best part is being able to have someone there beside you to protect and to protect you.
