Movie Review: ‘The Adam Project’ will warm your heart

The Adam Project is a time-traveling Netflix film that accidentally takes place in the year 2022, where the pilot, Adam (Ryan Reynolds) who is the main character, well, one of them, makes it his lifelong mission to save the future for his family’s (Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo) sake and peace of mind.
It begins with a comedic approach as Adam crashes his time-traveling jet into the Year 2022 and runs into a child (Walker Scobell), his younger self, whom he can’t stand and uses every opportunity given to voice the kind of witty remarks that we all think of when there’s curious children around. Throughout the movie, he must save the future to avoid certain problems (No spoilers, I promise!) and, of course, running into Sorian, the villain, who has caused problems for his family legacy, which includes making heartbreaking sacrifices. At the end of the film, an emotional scene between the cast and their future captures the audience’s heart by sharing a lesson to appreciate your loved ones. It is a really good film because of the perfect combination of wholeheartedness, humor, vulnerability, and adventure.
This film consists of amazing quality in all aspects. Tobias Schliessler, who directed the cinematography, created an extremely high quality film that is eye-catching. It almost feels like you’re in this futuristic movie with the fast-paced angles with time jet and suspenseful fighting scenes between Adam and Christos (Alex Mallari Jr.). It maintains a well developed storyline where Adam and his younger self experience emotional development as they face challenges to fix their future and how they handle it in the end. The outcome of their hard work was appreciating their loved ones with the time they have. Which brings me to the lesson of the film, which is that the most important thing is to spend quality time with family and express your love and appreciation for them.
Coming from a person who loses interest pretty quickly, I definitely will watch The Adam Project again even though some tears were shed at the end. It won me over because of the realistic family bond it displayed and how all characters came together as a whole.

Viniendo de una persona que pierde interés bastante rápido, definitivamente veré The Adam Project nuevamente a pesar de que se derramaron algunas lágrimas al final. Me convenció por el vínculo familiar realista que mostraba y cómo todos los personajes se unían como un todo.
