Profile: Ms. Suarez rocks science

Did you know that Suarez was in a band? Suarez was in a band back then, before she was a teacher. When Ms. Suarez was in high school she did many interesting things, including starting a band with her and a couple of her friends. She was in the band for about 7 years the instrument that she played the guitar. During that time Suarez toured around the world, some of the places she traveled to were United States, Europe, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. When asked about her experience she said, “It was an incredible experience and I learned so much about making music, and just being a person in the world.”

Imagine turning on your tv and the tv show “In Living Colors” is playing, and you see a scene where people are walking on the clouds. You see a man running towards two women, he pushes one and says “out of my way b***h”. Then, he swoops the second girl off her feet and swings her dramatically. Little did you know we had an actor in our CATS family and that man is teaching you HISTORY!

“I see myself as a facilitator for my students’ empowerment and learning. I will provide the resources and lessons, and hopefully, they will access, practice, master, and challenge themselves in new skills and concepts throughout the year. I hope that all of my lessons are connectable to my students’ lives, too.”
