Review: Scream VI

Scream VI is a horror-thriller film that continues the most well-known horror franchise, “Scream” starring Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Samara Weaving, Jack Champion, Courtney Cox, Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and many more. Scream 6 is also now in theaters. 

After the murders of Woodsboro happened again, Sam and the other survivors move to New York to start a fresh new start without Ghostface. But soon after they detect that there is another Ghostface brutally murdering others around the Big Apple.

The film itself was so much better than the other sequels in the franchise. One of my favorite things about the movie is how it was so much gory than the other movies and how it had more plot twists. Like in the opening, kills had more gore and more surprises than we had ever expected in the Scream franchise.

I also feel like it was better than Scream 5 because that film felt very rushed and the screenplay was lacking, but Scream VI was very unexpected and yet thrilling to watch. Another thing that I loved about the movie was how they made us think that one of them is Ghostface, but it ends up being someone no one suspected.

This movie is probably one of the best sequels to the Scream franchise because it differs significantly from the other movies and it is also a lot more creative. Scream VI is definitely a horror movie that every horror/slasher fan should watch.
