Seniors share their opinions of Valentine’s Day

What do CATS seniors think about this year’s Valentine’s Day?

“The sun was out, birds were out, love was in the air, people with flowers, and, overall, it was a good day,” said Naym M. He jokingly shared, “if i could have had a Valentine, it would’ve been [fellow senior] Jaysee.”

“Valentine’s Day can sometimes be a hassle,” said Nimrod R. “But it’s very nice to show love and affection to your significant other.” Nimrod spent his Valentine’s Day with his valentine and said it was a pretty chill day. He continued saying, “It’s all about love and affection, but that should be everyday not just this specific day.”

For fellow senior Irvin M. “Valentine’s Day is just any other day. It’s an average day.” But like Nimrod, he also felt that this holiday shouldn’t just be celebrated on one specific day. “We should celebrate the day of love all the time and pretend Valentine’s Day is every day and show the same amount of affection any other day.” He said he didn’t do much on Valentine’s, but he did catch up on some work for classes.
