Imagine turning on your tv and the tv show “In Living Colors” is playing, and you see a scene where people are walking on the clouds. You see a man running towards two women, he pushes one and says “out of my way b***h”. Then, he swoops the second girl off her feet and swings her dramatically. Little did you know we had an actor in our CATS family and that man is teaching you HISTORY!
By Antonio V. and David S. For the past year, LAUSD and UTLA were proposing terms regarding education and educators’ salaries. No negotiations were able to be made, and teachers are one step closer to going on strike. In January 12 of 2017, UTLA proposed, to LAUSD, a 7% salary raise, smaller classroom sizes, and academic freedom. LAUSD responds to the proposals by denying the raise and classroom size reduction, and accepts only a few academic freedom proposals.
