The following are letters to the editor written by CATS students. They have been lightly edited for clarity. To the editor, Luis N., Eric M., and Cristian V. published an article titled How COVID has impacted CATS, which I read. This story piqued my interest since I wanted to understand how COVID affected CATS on a deeper level. I suggest that we provide additional information about what teachers believe about COVID restrictions in order to improve our community. It’s also crucial to consider how the COVID scenario in CATS affects teachers and staff. I believe that

A few weeks ago, there was an issue in class and he apologized because at first he didn’t get the story of what happened from me, which was his mistake. He got it from other people instead. But

Why Are Students Ditching Or Tardy to Class?

By Antonio B. and William S. A problem at CATS is students being tardy or ditching class.  Mr. Antonio Roque, assistant principal, said that there are around 10 percent of students, or around 30 of 520 students, that are found ditching so it seems like a lot more students are ditching when the counselors are called out.   He also said that the school has been implementing new ways to help the students get to their classes on time. First, administrators have a conference with the parent and the student. Then they have the students’ parents or
